Troubleshooting the In-Room Microphones in BECC

The following are the steps you should take if the mic(s)can’t be heard over the in-room speakers.

First, ensure that the microphone is on. The screen on the front face of either mic type will come on, and display a channel and frequency when it is connected to the receiver.

Both Mics will have a switch located on the top of the Lapel Mic

or on the front face(under the screen) of the Handheld mic

If there is only one receiver, make sure that the mic that isn’t in use is toggled off, then toggle the mic you want to use on and give it about 10 seconds to turn on and connect to the receiver.

If the mic you want to use is not toggling on, check the battery compartment.

On a Lapel Mic, there are two buttons on the sides that you press and the door to the compartment opens.

On a Handheld mic, you remove the Rubber sleeve on the bottom, then unscrew the Battery compartment.
