What is MFA?
MFA, or Multifactor Authentication, is a method of signing into accounts and verifying who you are. In many cases, this utilizes a device you may carry around with you on a day-to-day basis, that only you have access to.
This article aims to address the differences between PingMe and TOTP (Time-based One-time Password). As a brief aside, we recommend NOT checking the box to remember your MFA choice, as this will make switching methods difficult.
Please note that both of these options require your device to have a valid time set in order to work.

PingMe
PingMe is suitable for most users and will work most of the time. PingMe allows you to sign in on a website, and simply receive a notification on your phone to accept the request.
Most people run into issues when they request a second PingMe notification after not receiving the first. What happens is that these notifications start to queue. When they approve the notification, they've actually approved the original request and not the brand-new one they sent. This can create problems where multiple requests are generated, and then you get locked out of your account.
It's also worth noting that PingMe will not work well in areas with poor WiFi/cellular connection. In these situations, you should resort to TOTP instead.
Using PingMe
- Log in to your Bradley account
- Click the PingMe option when prompted
- Open the notification on your phone
- Accept the PingMe request (you will be prompted for a pin or FaceID)

TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password)
Time-based One-Time Passwords, or TOTP for short, is the other method of signing into your account. Rather than choosing PingMe, you can choose TOTP. TOTP will work without an internet or cellular connection, but w
Note that TOTP codes expire every 30 seconds, so you will need to be mindful of the time you take to enter the code.
Using TOTP
- Log in to your Bradley account
- Click the TOTP option when prompted
- Open RapidIdentity on your phone
- Click your account
- Enter your pin/FaceID
