Step 1: Start a Print Job

  • Open the document or file you want to print.
  • Click on File in the menu bar and select Print, or use the keyboard shortcut Command (⌘) + P.

Step 2: Print Using System Dialog
  • Ensure you are printing using the MacOS print dialog. Other applications may use their own overlay that tends to interfere with the Kyocera printers. When printing, make sure your print dialog looks like this:

Printing with Google Chrome:

  • In Chrome's print panel, click the link at the bottom labeled "Print using system dialog..." or press Command (⌘) + Option (⌥) + P.
  • This will open the macOS system print dialog, where you can access advanced printer settings and presets.

Printing with Adobe Acrobat:

  • In Adobe Acrobat's print dialog, locate and click the Printer... button at the bottom left.
  • A warning may appear about using the system dialog; confirm by clicking Yes or proceeding as instructed.
  • The macOS system print dialog will open, allowing you to adjust settings and select your preset.

Step 3: Verify or Select the Preset
  • Locate the Presets dropdown menu in the print dialog.
  • Click on it and select the preset configured by IT, if this preset is not already selected.
Step 4: Adjust Additional Settings (if needed)

  • Ensure other print settings (e.g., paper size, duplex printing, color options) are correct for your needs. These should be preconfigured in the preset, but you can make changes if necessary.

Step 5: Print

  • Once all settings are verified, click Print to send your document to the printer.
