Bradley and Olin Hall Microphone quickstart

This guide will help you use and replace microphone batteries in Peoria Next Innovation Center, Bradley, and Olin Halls.

There are three types of microphones that you will find in the podiums and/or racks in Bradley and Olin Halls.

1. Wireless Handheld

2. Wireless Lapel/Lavalier

3. Desktop Boundary

The front of the boundary mic (above) must face toward the speaker(s) that you want to broadcast over Zoom.

In order to turn on (1.) Wireless Handheld microphones, you need to unscrew the bottom of the mic and hold the power button for a few seconds.

Note: Do not use consumer batteries in the Handheld and lapel mics. If one or the other dies, put a ticket in with AV Services and we will replace them and provide extras in case that happens again.

To turn on the (2.) Wireless Lapel mics, flip the power switch or press the power button on the top.

In most spaces, you will only be able to use one microphone (either Handheld or Lapel) at a time.

Please be sure to power the microphones off at the end of each class.
