Does the IT Service Desk loan computers out to students?

Yes! The IT Service Desk does have Chromebooks available for students to check out. The device can be checked out either on a short-term, as-needed basis, or it can be checked out for the duration of the semester.
IMPORTANT: Our Chromebooks are not in a managed environment, so certain functionalities will not be available such as tethering the device to a phone, or other bluetooth functionalities. It should also be noted that the Chromebooks do not work with the Respondus Lockdown Browser.

To check out a Chromebook, please contact the IT Service Desk by phone at (309) 677-2964 or go to the Support Portal and submit a ticket by choosing the Laptop Reservation request type from the drop-down.
