Note: These steps should be similar for various Linux distributions, but certain distributions may have difficulty connecting to BUsecure. In such a case, the machine should simply be registered to the wired network, as the IT Service Desk does not generally support Linux devices.
Connecting to Bradley's WiFi on an UBUNTU-based machine requires manual configuration by the user. Navigate to the machine's WiFi settings and select BUsecure. Once selected, a window similar to the following should appear:
The fields should be filled out as follows:
For "Wi-Fi security", select "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise"
For "Authentication", select "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
For "Anonymous identity", either enter the user's Bradley username or leave it blank
For "Domain", enter "ad.bradley.edu"
Leave both "CA certificate" and "CA certificate password" blank and check the "No CA certificate required" box
For "PEAP version", select "Automatic"
For "Inner authentication", select "MSCHAPv2"
For "username", enter the user's Bradley username
For "password", enter the user's Bradley password
Once the fields are filled out as enumerated above, the user should be able to connect to BUsecure. If the connection fails, then restart the computer. If the connection still fails, then the device should simply be registered to the wired network, as the IT Service Desk does not generally support Linux devices.
The following image is approximately how the BUsecure settings should look after proper configuration:
