Connecting a Meta Quest VR Headset to WiFi

Last Update 2 months ago

The Meta Quest line of VR headsets are capable of connecting to WPA2 Enterprise WiFi due to its support for EAP-TLS authentication protocols.

The headset runs the Meta Horizon OS, a modified version of the Android OS that powers Android phones and tablets. This means that you can connect your device to BUsecure using the same method you would when connecting an Android phone. Here are those steps below:

1. Press / on your right Touch Controller to open the universal menu.
2. Select the clock on the left side of the universal menu to open Quick Settings.
3. Select Settings in the top right, then select Wi-Fi.
4. Make sure the toggle for Wi-Fi is turned on.
5. Select BUsecure from the list of wireless networks.
6. Complete the fields as follows:
  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • Domain: bradley.edu
  • Identity: Enter your BUnetID here
  • Anonymous Identity: LEAVE BLANK
  • Password: Enter your BUnetID password
7. Select Done to complete the connection process.
