There are several options for configuring your Bradley e-mail on your phone, tablet, or computer.
The easiest option on smartphones is to download the Gmail app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Most modern mobile email clients such as Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook, etc, offer the option of configuring a Gmail account to the app. You will need to use your full email address including the @fsmail.bradley.edu (Faculty/staff) or @mail.bradley.edu (Students) when configuring these clients.
As a prerequisite to add your account to a third-party email client, you will need to make the following changes to your Google Account settings.
Enable IMAP:
- Navigate to https://gmail.com and sign in to your Bradley account.
- Click on the Settings gear in the upper left side of the window.
- Click on See All Settings.
- Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP in the tab bar.
- Under IMAP access, make sure that IMAP is enabled. If previously enabled, click Cancel, otherwise click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
Enable Less Secure App Access:
- Navigate to https://myaccount.google.com
- Choose Security from the left side navigation.
- Scroll down to Less Secure App Access, and click it to change the toggle to ON.
- Close the window or tab to exit.
The following settings are listed for those who need to manually configure their email client. (OPTIONAL)
