Checking your iPad Keyboard Battery Status

You can check the battery status of the keyboard with the battery widget.


  1. On your iPad’s home screen, with one finger swipe left to right to view the widget panel.

  2. You should see a small widget with the battery status of your iPad and any connected devices, including the bluetooth keyboard, denoted with the bluetooth symbol as shown below.

Other devices such as an Apple Pencil or AirPods will show up on the widget when they are actively connected.


Note: To preserve battery, turn off the power switch on the keyboard if you are not using it.


If your keyboard runs out of battery, you can plug one end of the included USB-C cable into the keyboard port and the other into a computer or compatible power adapter to charge the device.
