Voicemail Users Guide: Audix First-Time Setup

1) Call AudixFrom on campus, dial extension 3434. From off campus, dial (309) 677-3434. You can check your messages on Audix any time, any day, from anywhere with a Touch-Tone phone.

2) Login to Audix

• At the first prompt, enter your extension, followed by the pound (#) sign.

• Note: When logging in from your own extension, Audix will recognize your 'home' extension if you just hit the pound (#) sign without dialing your extension.

• Enter your password, followed by the pound sign (#). Contact the Help Desk at 677-2964 or the CES Office at 677-2788 to reset a password.

3) Create a New Password

• After the voice prompts, dial your new password, followed by the pound (#) sign. You will then be asked to verify your password.
• Enter the new password again, followed by the pound (#) sign.
• Note: Your password must be between 6 and 15 digits.

4) Record Your Name (New Account)

• Dial 5 at the main menu. Dial 5 again at this sub-menu.
• Dial 1 to begin recording.
• Say your name.
• Press 1 to stop recording.
• Audix will play back the recording for you to approve or rerecord.
• Press pound (#) to accept the recording or press 1 to rerecord.

5) Record a New Greeting

• Dial 3 for the "Administer Personal Greetings" menu.
• Dial 1 to create a new greeting.
• Dial 1 to assign a number to the greeting.
• Record your greeting at the tone. Press pound (#) to approve or 1 to edit the recording.
• Dial 1 to activate the new greeting for all calls.
• When you are done using Audix, logout by dialling **X or just hang up.
• Note: You can also record multiple greetings for use in different situations.
