Peoria Next Innovation Center Microphone Quickstart

This guide will help you use the microphones in PNIC 209/210 to amplify your voice to both rooms in the space.

You will find 2 types of mics in PNIC 209/210, and one in PNIC 207.

The first type of microphone that you will find at the podiums of both Rooms 207 and 209/210 is the boundary mic. This microphone is connected to the AV system in the room in order to help presenters standing at the podium be heard throughout the room via the room speakers.

Note: For best results, ensure that the front of the microphone faces the presenter.

The Second type of mic you will find at the podium of PNIC 209/210 is the Wireless mic with the headset attachment. This can be used if you need to be more mobile and still be heard in both of the connected spaces.

The transmitter/battery pack has a switch on the top to turn the mic on and off.

The buttons on the side of the pack are used to open the battery compartment in order to change the battery pack when it dies.

The battery pack can be found in the drawer in the podium. There is also a charger in the drawer so that you can always have a charged battery pack.

Please do not use consumer batteries in the mic pack. If one of the battery packs won't charge, call the IT service desk and we will get a new one ASAP.
