  • Student

    • These users are permitted to submit assignments. This permission should not be turned off for this role. Student permissions are restricted, but they have enough permissions to access and interact with course materials.

  • Bradley Observer (Bradley Created)

    • The Bradley Observer role allows users to view announcements, send messages to individuals and the entire class, participate in discussions, and view users in the course.

  • Librarian (Bradley Created)

    • These users can view announcements, send messages to individuals in the course, view and edit the Course Calendar, create and participate in discussions, and view users in the course.

  • SI Leaders (Bradley Created)

    • These users have the ability to view announcements, send messages to individuals and the entire class, view discussions, and view users in the course.

  • Service Professional Role (Bradley Created)

    • Users added to a course as a Service Professional can only view course announcements, files, pages, due dates, syllabi, assignment and discussion descriptions, and rubrics. Users in this role will not be able to see any discussion posts.

  • Teacher

    • The teacher role grants users course admin permissions, giving them control over their assigned course or courses. However, institutions can revise and limit these permissions as needed, depending upon the needs of your institution.

  • TA

    • These users have permissions similar to teachers, except TAs will not be able to change the visibility of the course, import or change learning outcomes, or add users other than students and observers. The TA role is meant to support the teacher role.

  • Designer

    • These users are permitted to access and create course content, including announcements, assignments, discussions, and quizzes. Designers will not have access to student grades.

  • Observer

    • This user role can be linked to a student user enrolled in a course. For example, parents, guardians, and/or mentors may wish to be linked to a student to view their course progress. Observers can see course announcements, send messages to the entire class, view discussions, view student groups, and view users in the course.
